Description

Cefuroxime Axetil Tablets 250 mg

CEFAERO-250 contains cefuroxime axetil, an oral second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic.

Following oral administration, cefuroxime axetil is converted to cefuroxime, which acts by inhibiting bacterial cell-wall synthesis. It exhibits bactericidal activity against susceptible Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

Cefuroxime has an established role in the treatment of selected bacterial infections involving the respiratory tract, urinary tract and skin, where supported by approved prescribing information.
