Composition: Sodium Feredetate 231mg + Folic Acid 1.5mg + Vitamin B12 15mcg

Composition: Sodium Feredetate 231mg + Folic Acid 1.5mg + Vitamin B12 15mcg (tablets). It combines Sodium Feredetate (oral iron), Folic Acid (haematinic vitamin) and Vitamin B12 (haematinic vitamin); each component acts on a different part of the clinical problem.

Sodium feredetate is an oral iron chelate used to replenish iron. Folic acid is required for DNA synthesis and red blood cell formation. Vitamin B12 is required for red blood cell formation and nerve function.

Safety

·       Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any component.

·       Oral iron may cause gastrointestinal upset and dark stools; keep out of reach of children (iron poisoning risk).
