SOLCID-XL

Composition: Sucralfate 1gm + Oxetacaine 20 mg / 10ml (syrup, Mint Flavour, Sugar Free). It combines Sucralfate (mucosal protective agent) and Oxetacaine (local anaesthetic); each component acts on a different part of the clinical problem.

Sucralfate forms a protective barrier over ulcerated gastric and duodenal mucosa. Oxetacaine is a local anaesthetic that relieves gastric mucosal pain.

SOLCID-XL is a prescription medicine from Aerochem Neutron's digestive and GI range, for use on the prescription of a registered medical practitioner.

Safety

·       Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any component.

·       Contains aluminium; caution in chronic renal failure. May reduce absorption of other drugs.

·       Local anaesthetic; not for prolonged use without medical review.

·       Pregnancy and lactation: use only if the prescriber judges the benefit to outweigh the risk.
